ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
After Tottenham won the Europa League, beating Manchester United in a final in Bilbao that saw Danso make a significant impression as a second-half substitute, the centre-back has fired a dig towards the Gunners. Arsenal ended their season in second place in the Premier League, while Spurs finished 17th, but Ange Postecoglou's side won a trophy for the first time in 17 years, while Mikel Arteta's side ended the campaign empty-handed.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Now, Danso has claimed that Spurs have more fans in north London than Arsenal do, having seen more than 200,000 fans line the streets outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to get a glimpse of their heroes after glory in Spain. Danso initially joined the club on loan, but his move was made permanent for a £21 million ($28m) fee last week.

WHAT KEVIN DANSO SAID
Danso told Krone, via : "[That night in Bilbao] was and still is incredible. I hadn't even realised it on the pitch. I slid down on my knees to the fans. I didn't realise it right away; right after the game it was like a dream. It wasn't until two days later that I truly realised I was a European cup winner.
"If you're not in London yourself, you don't really realise what a fan base we have. From outside, you think there are more Arsenal fans in North London, but in my opinion, there are more Tottenham fans."

Danso could play for Austria this weekend when they take on Romania on Saturday. Tottenham, meanwhile, have broken up for the summer, with uncertainty surrounding manager Ange Postecoglou.
